Serve-a-thon: Support Forests of Lantau Restoration Program

Join Ark Eden for a day of nature, purpose, and community!
Spend a meaningful day surrounded by beautiful forested hills on Lantau Island, helping us nurture and restore Hong Kong’s precious natural environment. As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in caring for young trees—fertilizing, weeding, and collecting valuable growth data that supports our forest conservation work.

Volunteer roles:
Be part of our reforestation journey! Volunteers will assist with tree care and data monitoring, contributing directly to Hong Kong’s official tree-planting reports and long-term sustainability goals.

Health and safety requirements:
This activity involves hiking to hillside planting sites, so volunteers should be reasonably fit. Please come prepared with a hat, sunscreen, and suitable clothing (including closed-toe shoes). We’ll provide gloves, tools, and refreshments to keep you energized throughout the day!

Remarks:
  • Gathering time and location: 9:00 am at Ark Eden, Mui Wo.
Travel plan: Take the 8:00 am fast ferry from Central Ferry Pier no. 5 to Mui Wo.
Return: Take the 1:20 pm ferry from Mui Wo back to Central.
  • Volunteers aged 8–15 must be accompanied by a registered adult guardian. Both the child and guardian must sign up in advance.
  • All volunteers must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. Friends or family members who wish to join are warmly welcome—please ensure that each person registers and signs up separately.
