Family Opportunity: Deliver Daily Necessities and Warmth to Homeless in YMT
Description: On this Yau Ma Tei Kindness Walk, you will see a wide range of individuals in great need and serve roughly 50 homeless individuals. Apart from building connections with the homeless community, you will provide and distribute necessities including food and drinks to the people in need. ImpactHK’s aim for these walks is to build trust through kindness. As a charity, they are on the streets at least once per day and their focus on building friendships in the hope of creating opportunities for change. In order to sustain housing and job creation initiatives by ImpactHK, we encourage each participant to donate $100 or more. This walk starts from ImpactHK's Guest Room, and takes nearly 1.5 hours to complete. Please bring a reusable bag to carry the items to hand out. This is a family friendly Kindness Walk. Parental guidance is required for volunteers under the age of 15. Volunteers between the ages of 6 and 14 must be accompanied by an adult to join this Kindness Walk. The guardian must first sign up for this activity. After successful registration, please email hohk@handonhongkong.org to sign the child up. Volunteers between the ages of 15 and 18 who want to join the activity without an adult must obtain prior parental consent and email this to HandsOn Hong Kong in order to successfully register for the activity. All volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you on this activity, they must first register with HandsOn and sign up for the activity.
